Chelsea Dean

Chelsea Dean

Treasurer

Chelsea was raised in a single-parent household where she embraced life's challenges with determination. Graduating from Calera High School in 2008, she initially found herself at a crossroads, lacking clear ambition and direction. Amidst personal struggles, Chelsea summoned her inner strength and boldly chose to break free from the past, seeking a brighter future. Her path led her to Lawton, Oklahoma, where a pivotal career opportunity emerged with the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Washington, DC. Over five years, Chelsea honed essential skills of focus and commitment, laying the groundwork for future success. Amidst this professional journey, she found love and partnership, marrying her husband Aaron, with whom she shared nine years of marriage. They have a daughter and son together.

Returning to Durant, Oklahoma, in 2017, Chelsea embarked on a rewarding chapter with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, serving in various roles within the Member Services department. She assisted all ages of Choctaws at the clinic, helped Choctaw parents develop their parenting skills during troubling times, and now assists as an IT Business Relationship Manager for our Enterprise Services team. Though she may not hold a traditional degree, Chelsea's commitment to continuous learning and personal development knows no bounds. She has attained a Triple P Positive Parenting Certificate and Master Black Belt from the Six Sigma Global Institute, alongside certifications as a Scrum Master and iPEC Certified Coach, leveraging her expertise to uplift tribal members and create positive change.

As a dedicated Chahtapreneur, Chelsea and her husband operate Dean Woodshop, LLC, crafting custom woodworking projects. In tandem with her entrepreneurial pursuits, Chelsea serves as Treasurer for the Missing Murdered Indigenous Women - Chahta 501c3 foundation, fervently advocating for justice and awareness in their community for over two years. Chelsea has embraced growth and leaned on faith to navigate life's challenges with grace and compassion throughout her journey. As she continues to evolve and inspire others, she stands as a living testament to the transformative power of God’s grace and unwavering faith.
